i was listening to home by garoad and realized that its in the same key and very close BPM with the menu theme from mother 3 so that was the driving force.

the penultimate cooldown. in the main story, our main character has arrived at home. their arc is complete and their issue is solved, and this track is them taking a breather and finally settling in to relax for the first time since the album started. this is the end of the main story.

in my second story, this track represents relief and the feeling of letting out a long breath you've been holding in. i'm now back to making what i love to make, not only for the people i love to make for but for myself as well. the main point of the second story is that while its good to put time and effort into pleasing others and making other people you care about feel happy, there's nothing wrong with putting an equal or greater time into making YOURSELF feel happy.
